KASANÉ is a conceptual keyboard project inspired by Japanese lacquerware — exploring the tactile and emotional depth of material craft through digital form.

Each page of the website offers a distinct way to connect with its layered design and story. Rather than simply presenting a keyboard, the experience invites visitors to feel it through motion, texture, and narrative.

Challenge

Most product websites focus on aesthetics — showcasing form, texture, and color to attract attention. Yet this often creates a quiet distance: the product looks beautiful, but it doesn't feel alive. The question became how to bridge that gap — how to make a digital space that speaks to the heart as much as the eye.

Approach

KASANÉ carries multiple layers of value — from traditional craftsmanship to modern, sensory interaction. A single page couldn't express all of it. So the site was built as a sequence of experiences, each one dedicated to a specific facet of the product. Through light, motion, and pacing, every page reveals a different layer of its story.

Outcome

The site unfolds in four movements. 'Home' sets the tone, inviting presence. 'Feel & Play' lets visitors tune switches and sense its touch. 'Craft & Design' reveals the spirit of urushi and the ideas behind its form. 'Tech & Spec' exposes its structure as if held by hand. Together, they form a layered, quiet, and living experience — a reflection of KASANÉ itself.

A designed rhythm of tone and motion creates an inviting entrance — a moment to feel the product’s presence and dive in deeper through dynamic 3D scroll animation.

FEEL & PLAY

Visitors can configure both materials and switch sounds, experiencing KASANÉ through sight and hearing — playing it with eyes and ears.

CRAFT & DESIGN

A continuous scroll unfolds the story from traditional urushi craftsmanship to modern keyboard design — illustrating how the spirit of the craft lives within KASANÉ.
